Position Overview

CEI is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in Bayesian Optimization to contribute to our AI-enabled Materials Discovery project. This role involves developing and applying cutting-edge Bayesian Optimization techniques to accelerate the design and optimization of new materials, enabling breakthroughs in sustainable energy applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Bayesian Optimization algorithms for materials design and property prediction.
  • Conduct high-throughput computational screenings to identify promising materials for sustainable energy applications.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate AI-driven models with experimental validation.
  • Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.
  • Support and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in related research areas.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Materials Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Bayesian Optimization and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience in computational materials science is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research environment.
