Overview:
The Center for Environmental Intelligence (CEI) at VinUniversity is seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to the project “Carbon Stock Estimation and Biodiversity Assessment in Vietnam Forests Using Remotely Sensed Data and Deep Learning Neural Networks.”
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in data collection and analysis for AI training tasks.
- Support the design and development of deep learning models.
- Analyze results and prepare reports for internal use and external dissemination, including research publications.
- Collaborate with PhD students, postdocs, and senior researchers to achieve project milestones.
- Participate in team meetings, workshops, and conferences as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Current Master’s students are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience in Python programming and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is desirable.
- Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, particularly in model training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in academic research is a plus.
