Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Assistant – Optoelectronics and LED fabrication

Role Description

The “Development of Energy-efficient Perovskite Light-emitting Diodes and Solar cells” project is dedicated to exploring the interface between nano-optics and optoelectronics. In the field of nano-optics, we investigate a wide range of modern optical phenomena in both weak and strong coupling regimes between nanophotonic structures and quantum emitters. Our optoelectronics research focuses on synthesizing perovskite nanocrystals and utilizing them in light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and solar cell applications. We are currently expanding our team and have several open positions:

1. Postdoctoral Researcher in Scientific Computation

Responsibilities:

• Conduct advanced scientific computations with a focus on inverse design for photonic applications.
• Serve as a teaching assistant for introductory physics courses

Qualifications:

• PhD in Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Proficient in Python and MATLAB.
• A minimum of one published article in a peer-reviewed journal.

2. Research Assistant – Synthesis of Perovskite Nanocrystals for Optoelectronics

Responsibilities:

• Synthesize and characterize perovskite nanocrystals for various optoelectronic applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science. Current Master students are also accepted.
• Research experience in wet lab environments is an advantage.

3. Research Assistant – Perovskite LED Fabrication and Characterization

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and characterize perovskite LEDs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Physics Engineering, or Materials Science. Current Master students are also accepted.
• Experience in experimental work and device fabrication is a plus.
