CEI is pleased to announce the workshop “The Implementation of Machine Learning and AI in Recent Research and Development”, a focused academic event dedicated to exploring how Machine Learning and AI are being implemented in practice to drive innovation in modern research. 

The workshop will showcase applied research case studies and expert insights across Mechanical Engineering, Drug Design, and Mineral Processing, offering participants new perspectives on the role of artificial intelligence in today’s scientific research.

  • Emeritus Prof. Christian Soize (University Gustave Eiffel) – An expert in uncertainty quantification and computational mechanics, renowned for pioneering methodologies such as the nonparametric probabilistic approach and Probabilistic Learning on Manifolds (PLoM). He is the author of thousands of publications, books, and book chapters, and a recipient of multiple prestigious awards from the French Ministry of Education.
  • Assoc. Prof. Chi Phan (Curtin University, Australia) – a leading researcher in Chemical Engineering with over 20 years of academic and industrial experience. His research focuses on chemical and mineral processing systems, and he is ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide in the Stanford/Elsevier global rankings for Chemical Physics.
